Quality and order
Keywords:

This document is an attempt to highlight the analogy between nature's struggle to maintain life and human efforts to create and maintain a better world.
I try to establish, both on intuitive and epistemological grounds, the relationship between order and quality. After making a brief introduction to the topic of quality, I present the reasons for the intuitive and normative relationship between order and quality. After making technical considerations about information, I try to include this topic in the relationship, thus forming the relational triad of quality, order and information.
I make a brief argument about the nature of knowledge, go through news about entropy and summarize the unlikely miracle of life on Planet Earth. I conclude the content with considerations about information networks, presenting some examples of good and bad coexistence of some of these networks with order and quality.
