The present work points out the legislative innovation operated by Law 14.344/22 (Henry Borel Law) which brings in its core the definition of domestic violence against children and adolescents, which spreads through the Penal Code and the Extravagant Legislation, with new causes of violence. increase in penalties and qualifiers, as well as the insertion of new penal figures, with a view to providing greater protection to them, who are vulnerable by nature. Although in the period of vacatio legis, the social effectiveness of the norm is a theme that goes beyond the intricacies of a Symbolic Criminal Law.
