The journal “Direito em Movimento – um outro direito é possível” is an institutional tool with multiple objectives, published by the Magistrate’s School of the State of Rio de Janeiro. The journal presents itself at the academic community by seeking a transdisciplinary view of the Law, emphasizing the expansion of knowledge of legal culture and human complexity in relation to socio-legal conflicts.
The journal consists of an online repertoire of academic papers related to the legal field and other disciplines. It aims to promote the dissemination of information by creating a fruitful dialogue between researchers from national and foreign institutions in the matters pertinent to their line of research.
It cannot be denied that, even in the study of the Law, the postmodernity demands an exchange between that study and several other areas of knowledge, such as social sciences (sociology, anthropology and political science), history, psychology, pedagogy, economy, administration, among others. Therefore, the journal welcomes articles that establish directly or indirectly links between the research of the law and other aspects of knowledge. In an effort to avoid an abstract comprehension of the Law, the journal welcomes researches with an interdisciplinar view and leading controversial cases.
Through collaboration with a variety of national and internacional universities and from an emancipatory point of view, the Journal “Direito em Movimento – um outro direito é possível” values an epistemology and a methodology derived from a contemporary scientific journey, which adapts the movement of the law and the jurisprudence to the dynamism of real life. All articles are submitted to double anonymous peer review and complying with Qualis standards of CAPES/MEC, Brazil.
In order to achieve a Qualis certification of excellence, the journal seeks to meet all the criteria proposed by CAPES – “Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior”. It should be noted that the journal is published continuously. In addition, the journal has an editorial board formed by renowned doctors, whose academic career has been validated by several Universities and Training Centers dedicaded to the qualification of magistrates, from several brazilian states and other countries.
