PETROLEUM PRODUCTION SHARING CONTRACT AND ITS RECENT LEGAL REFORM

The present paper intends to analyze the actual scenario related to petroleum law, in particular the pre-salt layer. The production sharing contract was the model chosen for the exploration in ultra- deep waters, however its substance and demands have often been questioned and, so far, there has been a recent reform in its legal framework. In this context, the aim of this work is to measure how this legal revision is able to solve the main concerns that were addressed to the production sharing contract model.
